Capt. Richard Wild
Captain Wild has over 30 years experience and expertise in the marine sector and is currently Senior Pilot and Examining Pilot at a major UK port. Richard is among a select group of pilots that has the training and experience of piloting some of the largest container vessels in the world.
Prior to his piloting work, Captain Wild was at sea on tankers, dry cargo vessels, and ro-ro ferries as well as various shore postings. Richard has also published articles of interest in the Royal Institute of Navigation Journal.
Richard is a Council Member and Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation and member of The Nautical Institute. A Master Mariner, Captain Wild completed his MSc in Shipping Operations with distinction (Southampton Solent University), his thesis on the Master-pilot relationship.
